James Williams

James is the only member of the band that does not live in Forney or attend the First Baptist Church of Forney. James currently lives in Plano, Texas. He started singing at the age of 3 in his home church, Elam Road Church of God. At age 5, he sang his very first solo. He was so small that they stood him on a piano bench so everyone could see him. At age 12 he started taking guitar lessons and after a couple of months he switched to the piano.

His parents bought him is first guitar, a Gibson J45, as a high school graduating present. He since has had several guitars ranging from a Fender, an Ovation and a Mitchell (thanks to JIm and Joan Pingel). He now plays, with the approval of his wife Christine, a Martin D35. His influences range from the Happy Goodmans, The Hinsons, Paul Williams, Ralph Stanley, Ricky Skaggs and many others.

James brings a heavenly spirit to the group above all others. His love for the Lord us unquestionable and he thanks the Lord daily for installing the love of song and music in his heart years ago.
